After Timor Leste officially became a country, prospective sisters who were going to undergo training in Indonesia began to experiencing difficulties. In addition to having to adapt to the language - the official language of Timor Leste is Portuguese - they also had difficulty obtaining residence permits in Indonesia. Recognizing these challenges, the Indonesian Provincial Council considered building a formation house for sisters in Timor Leste. In around 2011, the Indonesian Provincial Council bought a plot of land in Manleuana-Dili to build the SCMM Formation House. The house was intended for individuals in Timor Leste who wanted to become SCMM sisters.
Construction began in 2013 by CV. Mandiri from Palembang, Indonesia. Unfortunately, the company was unable to continue the construction project due to bankruptcy. Therefore, in 2016 when Timor Leste had become an independent community under the responsibility of the General Council), construction resumed by different company CV. Persia. The General Council covered all construction cost. The Formation House was completed and inaugurated on September 2, 2017, in honor of the community’s patron, Msgr. Joannes Zwijsen. Although this community is a formation community, the sisters remain present as a sign of God's love through pastoral activities in the parish and the neighborhood, as well as involvement in categorical groups.
